Stanley Domosh
Stanley H. Domosh, 89, of West Bacon St., Waterville, NY, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his home.
He was born January 18, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of Irwin and Minnie Zagorin Schmooklen. He received his early education in local schools and was a graduate of Penn State University. On September 29, 1951, Stanley married Natalie Frankel in Bethlehem, PA. She predeceased him in June 2008. Stanley was veteran of the U. S. Army who served as a medic in the 7th Division during the Korean Conflict from 1952-53 and was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Stanley’s career was in sales and marketing, and in 1992, he started Domosh Associates which he still currently owned and operated.
Stanley was of the Jewish faith. He was an accomplished military historian with an emphasis on the Civil and Korean Wars. His collection included vast amounts of books and memorabilia on the subjects. He was a member of FOG society.
Surviving are his partner, Tong-Hwan Lambrecht; two daughters and their husbands, Jill Domosh and William Blacek of Derry, NH; Mona Domosh and Frank Magilligan of Lebanon, NH; a sister, Lee Folgler of Akron, NY; a granddaughter and her husband, Melissa Blacek and Dayal Sachdev of Merrimack, NH. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Stephen.
In keeping with his wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the Shepherd University Foundation, George Tyler Moore Center, Shepherd University, PO Box 5000, Shepherdstown, WV 25443
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville.
