Obituary for Anna K. Marshall (Hanke)
Anna Marshall, age 90, of Earlville, NY passed away in her sleep on Friday night,
November 24, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, NY. Anna was living with her daughter Joanne in Earlville, who was her constant companion and caregiver. She was a master quilter, painter, ceramist, gardener, tutor, and pianist, and will be remembered for her love of art and music.
Anna was born in 1927, in Guttenberg, NJ, to parents Anna and Hugo Hanke, and was a long-time resident of Haworth, NJ. Anna was married in 1952 to the late Jack Marshall, who predeceased her in 1992. Anna is survived by 4 children, Idadell Smith and her husband Brian Smith, Barbara Golden and her husband Mark Golden, Joanne Marshall, and John Marshall. Anna’s fifth child, Robert Marshall, predeceased Anna in 1996. She spent much time with her beloved grandchildren, Meghan Simoni and her husband James Simoni, Master Sergeant Loretta Covert and her husband Travis Covert, Emma Golden and Callen Golden and her first great grandchild, Scarlett Simoni.
